Privacy

Garden Makeovers & Maintenance is a small family business in Canberra. This page explains what happens to your information when you use this website or get in touch. It is deliberately short, because the site does very little with your data.

This website does not collect anything about you

There are no analytics on this site, no advertising trackers, and no cookies set by us. We do not build a profile of you and we have no way of knowing who visited.

The quote form stays on your phone

The “get a free quote” section turns what you type into a text message on your own device. Nothing is transmitted to us, or to anyone else, until you choose to send that message yourself. If you close the page instead, what you typed is gone.

Fonts are loaded from Google

The typefaces used here are served by Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them, Google receives your IP address and basic request information, in the same way as any other website you visit that uses their service. We do not receive any of it. Google's handling of that request is covered byGoogle's privacy policy.

When you call, text or email us

If you contact us, we keep your name, contact details and what you told us about your garden, so we can quote the work and keep looking after it. That information is used for running the job and nothing else. We do not sell it and we do not pass it to anyone who is not helping us do the work.

We keep it for as long as you are a customer, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our own records. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Asking us about your information

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or text 0422 610 282 and we will sort it out.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner atoaic.gov.au.
